DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Oklahoma is seeking an actuary or actuarial consulting firm to provide pension actuarial consulting services for state-administered public pension systems. The selected provider will analyze legislation and amendments proposed or considered by the Legislature to determine their potential fiscal impact on the systems.

The actuary or firm must disclose any current contractual arrangements with public pension systems regulated by the state. Retirement legislation must be reviewed by the legislative actuary, who will determine and provide written certification as to whether the legislation constitutes retirement legislation with a fiscal impact or non-fiscal retirement legislation under the applicable act.

For legislation determined to have a fiscal impact, the services must address the resulting dollar amount of unfunded actuarial accrued liability, the annual normal cost for the affected retirement system, and the employer contribution rate required for the system to receive the annual employer contributions identified in the most recently available valuation report prepared by the system's actuary.
