DESCRIPTION


The vendor will provide pedestrian wayfinding services to support the evolving needs of residents and visitors through system expansion, updates, maintenance, and smart asset management. Services will include pedestrian wayfinding sign location and movement planning for program expansion areas, using established Seamless wayfinding standards and community engagement findings.

The work may include developing GIS-based mapping and sign content standards, creating standards for new sign types, and delivering wayfinding sign content, artworking, and implementation. The vendor will apply Seamless Seattle system standards, including the Sign Content Rationale, to develop directional sign content that reflects local context.

The vendor will also support the development of an interactive GIS-based mapping system for managing Seamless Seattle assets, coordinate it with the asset management system, and assist with updating and maintaining the asset management platform. Additional planning responsibilities include priority route networks, route hierarchy, decision points, sign types, and clutter reduction. Questions are due by August 27, 2026, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 6, 2026.
