The Town of Avon, Massachusetts, invites qualified design firms to submit Statements of Qualifications for on-call designer services. The selected designer will provide professional services on an as-needed, task-order basis for a variety of municipal projects, including roof renovations, HVAC upgrades, interior renovations, building facade repairs, structural repairs, electrical and plumbing improvements, accessibility improvements, fire and life-safety improvements, energy-efficiency improvements, building condition assessments, feasibility studies, and site improvements. The anticipated aggregate construction value of projects under this three-year program is approximately $10,000,000. This amount is an estimate and not a guarantee of work.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be legally qualified and appropriately licensed to provide professional services in Massachusetts
  • Must have demonstrated experience providing architectural and/or engineering services for Massachusetts municipal projects
  • Must have experience with existing-building renovation, repair, or capital improvement projects
  • Must have experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Must have construction administration experience
  • Must understand Massachusetts public construction procurement requirements, including M.G.L. c. 149
  • Must have sufficient qualified personnel and organizational capacity to manage multiple assignments
  • Must maintain required professional liability and other insurance
  • Must not be suspended or debarred from public contracting
  • Must be able to comply with M.G.L. c. 7C, §§ 44-58 and other applicable laws
