DESCRIPTION

The State of New York is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive system development and independent verification services for its Next Generation 911 (NG911) system. The selected contractor will be responsible for delivering all necessary hardware, software, systems, components, and functions required for the operation and maintenance of the NG911 system. This includes managing alternate-routing functions between Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) for misroute resolution and failover support. Geographic Information System (GIS) data development and management are also part of the scope, forming a crucial component of the ESInet services.

An independent provider will perform Verification and Validation services, ensuring the main contractor meets all requirements, timelines, milestones, and deliverables as outlined in the Acceptance Test Plan and Cutover Plan. These responsibilities include validating service compliance, overseeing failover testing through approved methodologies, analyzing network trends and recurring issues, and assisting in the development and maintenance of standardized outage notification processes for the State. Data security is emphasized throughout the process. The contract will have a duration of one year.
