The Town of Leesburg is soliciting proposals for grounds maintenance services for its Utility Maintenance Building, Water Treatment Facility, Wastewater Treatment Facility, and various remote sites. The scope of work includes mowing, weed eating, timber removal, and trash collection on an hourly, on-call basis. The contract term is for one year, with the option for four additional one-year renewals. The work involves approximately 5.5 acres of remote sites and 22.5 acres of main facilities, with an estimated 25 weeks of maintenance per year.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be a registered vendor in eVA
Must be authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Must provide general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000
Must provide automobile insurance of at least $2,000,000
Must provide Workers Compensation insurance meeting Commonwealth of Virginia statutory requirements
Must have an AM Best Rating of A or better for insurance carriers
Must be licensed in accordance with the Town’s Business, Professional, and Occupational Licensing (BPOL) Tax Ordinance
Must have a crew leader capable of speaking conversational English on site during work operations
