A request for information has been issued to identify modern, interoperable Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platforms capable of advancing rail operational efficiency, safety, and system resilience in California. The desired CAD solution should offer advanced operational functionalities, including real-time train tracking, dynamic authority management, intelligent alarm correlation, incident logging, analytics dashboards, and customizable user interfaces.
Vendors should demonstrate proven integration with existing field signal systems, SCADA, communications infrastructure, and support for interoperability with partner railroads engaged in shared trackage and joint operations. Information on typical deployment and configuration timelines, system commissioning processes, documentation standards, training, and long-term maintenance and support models is requested. Preference will be given to platforms with active deployments among U.S. Class I, commuter, or regional transit agencies, highlighting operational maturity and scalability.
Vendors should also describe their platform's compatibility with upcoming wireless crossing technology implementations. Questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by December 9, 2025.
