The successful vendor will deliver Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity between state offices and the Century Network Point of Presence (POP) sites, utilizing metro ethernet services with bandwidth speeds ranging from 100MB to 1GB via fiber connections.
The selected provider must guarantee synchronous bandwidth and ensure that the service remains operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. The service must maintain a one-way delay of no more than 18 milliseconds and jitter of no more than 12 milliseconds. In addition, the provider will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and maintenance of the network connections, with a requirement for proactive response to any network issues that may affect connectivity. These metro ethernet services will form a key part of the state's telecommunications infrastructure.
