DESCRIPTION
The contractor will provide comprehensive Medicare Part A and Part B billing services for all applicable types of Medicare in accordance with Medicare requirements. Services will include Medicare Consolidated Billing, Part A and Part B billing, and third-party insurance billing for long-term nursing care.
The contractor will establish mutually agreed timelines consistent with CMS Consolidated Billing requirements for billing submissions and the provision of required information by the participating homes. Responsibilities will also include retrieving billing-related information, including census data, as needed, and providing hands-on assistance with complex claims, pending resident certifications, and funds held by third parties.
The contractor will assist the homes with Medicare billing reviews, audits, and claim appeals, including RAC, UPIC, SMRC, TPE, and MAC audits. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 16, 2026, and questions must be submitted by September 24, 2026.
