DESCRIPTION


The selected medical sponsor will provide comprehensive medical services to children within a school through designated medical sponsor staff. Responsibilities include providing sick-child and well-child examinations, associated treatment, primary medical care, and services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate and responsive to the population during service hours.

The medical sponsor will designate a primary point of contact to serve as a liaison between the parties and provide staff administration and supervision. Designated personnel will fulfill roles including clinic coordinator, immunization coordinator, privacy official, quality assurance coordinator, laboratory coordinator, and medical director.

Medical records will remain the property of the medical sponsor and will be managed in accordance with applicable confidentiality policies for medical records and health information. The sponsor will share client charts as necessary for continuity of care and required data reporting, and will submit claims to applicable health plans for services provided.
