(1) Vendor needs to provide architectural and engineering services to the government authority located in Stamford, CT.• Accessibility compliance with the addition of a new elevator tower and elevator;• Conversion of existing gang toilets to eight (8) single use accessible toilet rooms. A recommendation for six (6) unisex toilets;• New and improved signage for wayfinding – both accessible and general;• Floor abatement in limited first and second floor classrooms;• Lintel repairs/ replacement resulting from abatement;• New Floors installed in limited first and second floor classrooms• Replacement of and installation of all exterior windows and manual shades• Replacement of and installation of new exterior doors (add note that new glazing at first floor level will need to be security grade);• Repointing and weather proofing exterior brick;• Roof replacement at areas passed warranty;• Security glazing at new windows and doors within six feet of grade.Investigation, surveying, and documentation:▪ Determine the presence of hazardous materials, if any, in the proposed work areas.▪ Safe removal and storage of any unit–ventilators or other equipment which may obstruct the floor or subflooring replacement▪ Preparing existing conditions drawings including associated details.▪ Coordinating with the services of a hygienist, retained by the City, to take samples materials to determine the presence of hazardous materials such as asbestos or PCBs.Schematic Design–Construction Documents▪ Issue 100% SDs with Cost Estimate VE/ VM▪ Issue 100% DDs that reflects removal of the existing floors, millwork cabinets, partition walls and toilet fixtures. Repair and replacement of partitions, flooring, doors, millwork. Coordinate the replacement with existing mechanical units or other associated details as required.▪ Prepare hazardous material scope of work, should any asbestos containing materials be present in existing floor materials.▪ Prepare drawings and details to approximately 75% for the City and review (2 weeks)▪ Prepare a construction cost estimate.▪ Preparation for and attendance at meetings with City of Stamford, Stamford Public Schools, local agencies, and boards as required. State Authorization to Bid▪ Submit 100% Bid documents, drawings, specifications, and final cost estimate for the City local agency, building committee, and BOE review.▪ Documents to include all information (drawings and specifications) necessary to properly abate hazardous materials affected by the scope of work.▪ Incorporate all comments from the Engineering Bureau, Stamford Public School Facilities, Building Department and Fire Marshall to be addressed in writing.▪ Prepare, coordinate, and submit all required documentation and forms for OGA/DAS Plan Review.Attend and present at all State PCR meeting(s) as necessary to receive Authorization to Bid.(2) All question must be submitted no later than March 12, 2026.
