DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Juneau, Alaska is seeking a vendor to provide legislative audit and accounting services. The selected firm will conduct an independent audit of the Legislature’s financial statements and provide financial statement presentation services.

The scope also includes issuing a management letter that identifies any significant exceptions to the existing system of internal controls discovered during the review of the Legislature. In addition, the contractor will provide up to ten hours of advice and consultation for each fiscal year audit, covering internal accounting controls, financial statement presentation, interpretation of Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements, taxation issues, and other applicable professional guidance.
