DESCRIPTION

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids for janitorial services at the Traffic Field Operations Headquarters located at 8010 Mason King Court, Manassas, VA 20109. The scope of work includes all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform janitorial services three times per week for a facility with 80 to 90 personnel. The initial contract term is one year, with the opportunity for four optional, consecutive one-year renewal periods.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must attend the mandatory in-person prebid conference on November 10th, 2026
Must have a minimum of five years of prior experience providing janitorial services in commercial or governmental office buildings
Must submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan (SBSP) with the bid
Must be certified as a small/micro business by the DSBSD to claim small business status
Must provide a supervisor/lead custodian capable of communicating in English
Must maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate
Must comply with all OSHA and VOSH standards
Must pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) for all personnel
Must obtain a VDOT-issued access identification badge for all personnel
