The agency is replacing an existing solution that has become dated, difficult to maintain, and limited in its scheduling scenarios, optimization planning tools, bidding capabilities, reporting, and system integrations. Dispatch planning is also largely manual. The new solution is intended to improve planning and scheduling through scenario review and modern optimization tools, automate bidding and dispatch planning, leverage APIs where possible, and provide stronger management and NTD reporting.
