An opportunity is available for a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive software development and ongoing support services for the next generation of Cerenkov Viewing Devices (XCVD and RCVD) utilized by the IAEA. The XCVD is a handheld instrument operated by inspectors, leveraging real-time algorithms to process, record, and display Cerenkov light detected through an image intensifier tube. The RCVD serves as a standalone version of this device and is deployed as a payload within an Unmanned Surface Vehicle, enabling operation without continuous inspector intervention.

The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring seamless interoperability between both device types, promoting reuse of functional modules, and maintaining consistent data flow. Required expertise includes advanced experience in firmware development, familiarity with the Robotic Operating System (ROS), and proficiency with Linux-based operating systems such as Ubuntu. Additionally, the ability to develop and review algorithmic code in C, C++, and Matlab is essential. Ongoing support and technical updates are a critical aspect of this engagement.
