DESCRIPTION

The city of Englewood, Colorado is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive Information Technology Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, incorporating integrated Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), vulnerability management, and security information and event management (SIEM) services. The selected provider will deliver continuous 24x7x365 monitoring of all enrolled endpoints, network telemetry, log sources, and integrated data feeds.

The vendor will offer response support with guidance for containment, isolation, and remediation actions, communicated in plain language for coordination with the city's technical staff. Pre-authorized containment actions, such as isolation in the event of malware or ransomware detection, may be executed upon meeting agreed criteria. The service includes deployment and management of lightweight endpoint agents, real-time behavioural anomaly detection, and support during onboarding. The vulnerability management component will feature both authenticated and unauthenticated scanning and risk-based prioritization that considers exploitability and business context. The SIEM functionality requires normalization of log data, the use of customized correlation rules, and security orchestration, automation, and response workflows. Vendor documentation, training on SOAR workflows, and custom rule development are expected to ensure effective knowledge transfer to internal staff. The initial contract period will be for one year.
