DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Salt Lake, Utah is seeking hydrological database support services to maintain, support, and further develop its hydrological database (HDB). The selected contractor will provide on-call technical support, troubleshoot system malfunctions, develop modifications and enhancements to the HDB, and create, document, and distribute software applications that interface with the database.

The work includes ensuring user access to original source data for calculated or summarized records, enabling automated generation of time-aggregated summary data, and supporting automated computations based on collected inputs. The database of record is intended to support ongoing operational decision-making and preserve a reliable historical record of data used in past decisions.

Additional responsibilities include database system maintenance, malfunction resolution, and the development of a comprehensive, transferable knowledge base covering system architecture, annotated source code, configuration guidance, and training materials. The contractor will also develop, maintain, and enhance tools for accessing, editing, and sharing HDB data, including visualization and data exploration tools for public communication, as well as data editing tools that support quality assurance and quality control.
