DESCRIPTION
The government authority located in Washington, DC seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive health insurance services. The scope includes coverage for services rendered by licensed healthcare providers on an ambulatory or outpatient basis without requiring hospital admission. This consists of surgeon’s fees and other medical services provided at hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices, or other medical facilities.
Inpatient benefits should include services and supplies during hospitalization, such as licensed provider services, semi-private accommodations, operating and recovery rooms, intensive care, imaging and diagnostic testing, general nursing care, physical therapy, and prescription drugs administered during the stay. Coverage for private accommodations will be limited to the cost of a semi-private room unless otherwise specified by the plan.
The insurance should also encompass maternity care including prenatal, labor, delivery, post-delivery, and outpatient care for newborns. Additionally, primary and preventive care for covered dependent children, such as physical exams, developmental assessments, and laboratory tests, are required. Behavioral health treatment, including counselling and psychotherapy, must also be included.
