The State of New Jersey is seeking a contractor to design, operate, maintain, and host an online Health Care Profile System. The selected contractor will ensure continued functionality of the Information Management System even as new software releases are installed. Key features include the ability for website users to generate printer-friendly profiles, access pick lists or lookup screens, and utilize data entry validation. The system must be capable of supporting peak traffic loads, as public site usage reaches up to 6,500 visitors and 75,000 page views per month.
Secure access will be required for approximately 44,000 authorized practitioners, allowing only these individuals to modify their own self-reported information in compliance with relevant legislation. The contractor must establish and implement robust security measures, including secure coding practices, separation of development and operational environments, data input controls, comprehensive security testing, restricted source code access, and specialized security training for developers and implementers. The contract will be for a one-year period.
