DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Washington, DC seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive health and life insurance services for employees and their dependents. The health benefits should include full coverage for hospitalization, with 100% of inpatient services and supplies provided by licensed healthcare professionals, including bed and board in semi-private rooms, operating and recovery rooms, intensive care, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, physical therapy, and in-patient medications.

Emergency room services require full coverage for acute conditions necessitating immediate treatment, while ambulance transport must be covered at a minimum of 80%. Outpatient services and obstetric/newborn outpatient care should also have at least 80% coverage, and inpatient obstetric and newborn care requires 100% coverage. A pre-proposal conference will be held on June 8, 2026, to provide further details and answer prospective vendor questions.

Qualified providers will have experience in administering group health and life insurance programs that meet or exceed the described requirements, and must be able to work with public sector clients in the Washington, DC area.
