The government authority located in Houston, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide professional fee accounting services. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering accounting, financial reporting, and compliance support, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, and relevant federal, state, and local laws.
Scope of work includes reviewing audits for multiple fiscal periods and confirming that all audit adjustments are accurately applied across all Lines of Business to maintain precise equity roll-forward. The contractor will also offer accounting support during the annual audit process, prepare and review monthly financial statements according to GAAP, and assess the general ledger for accuracy and propriety.
Additionally, the vendor will review and provide recommendations regarding internal control systems related to accounting and financial reporting to strengthen agency operations.
