The plan will provide a collaborative roadmap to advance the farm-to-school and early care movement, promote agriculture in schools and early care settings, and support increased use of locally sourced food in childcare and school meals.
The selected vendor will develop, facilitate, and coordinate the statewide strategic planning process; engage farmers, communities, school administrators, students, early care providers, and other stakeholders; and establish a supportive network to help implement the plan's strategies. The plan must include clear goals, detailed strategies, and an evaluation framework to measure progress and impact.
The vendor will also create a workplan based on the strategic plan, identifying and prioritizing the most critical action steps, goals, and activities for the coming years. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 11, 2026, and questions must be submitted by August 17, 2026.
