The government authority located in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking an experienced vendor to provide external audit services. The selected firm will conduct annual financial statement audits in accordance with Canadian Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (Canadian GAAS) and prepare financial statements compliant with Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO).

Responsibilities include preparing audited financial statements suitable for presentation to the agency and stakeholders, delivering a management letter with recommendations for internal controls and operational improvements, and attending one agency meeting to present audit findings. The scope of work also covers a review of compliance with CRA requirements for registered charities, with the option for additional services such as providing guidance on accounting standards or policy development. The contract will span three years.
