This RFP seeks a vendor to provide exclusive event utilities services for several theatrical venues, including Symphony Hall, Orpheum Theatre, and Herberger Theatre. The selected provider will have an agency and non-exclusive right to deliver temporary electrical services directly to exhibitors and clients through direct arrangement. Temporary electrical services encompass service connections and disconnections from multiple power sources, such as floor boxes, access panels, company switches, and main busways, necessary for energizing displays and exhibits.
Transformers are not permitted on the show floor unless approved by the Director due to specific exhibitor requirements. The provider will also be responsible for repairing or replacing broken, defective, or malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner, regardless of whether the equipment is in active or backup use. The initial contract term is for one year, and there will be a required pre-bid meeting and opportunity for questions prior to the submission deadline.
