Oconee County Board Of Commissioners
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The county seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive EMS billing services. The selected company will manage billing processes, including pulling reviewed transports from the county's ImageTrend system and billing the appropriate guarantor for services rendered. All processed records and histories must be made available online for authorized county personnel.
Invoicing requirements include strict compliance with the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act and the use of electronic filing as the primary method for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims. Insurance eligibility must be verified before submitting claims, and paper invoices may only be used for guarantors not eligible for electronic filing. All claim-related funds will be directed to the county, with prompt processing of claim denials and categorization of payments.
The vendor will also be responsible for accounting and reporting on all billing activities, following generally accepted accounting principles and providing reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis or as requested. The contract for these services will last for one year.
