Douglas County Government
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Castle Rock, Colorado, seeks a qualified vendor to provide elevator inspection services. Responsibilities include as-needed plan review and inspection services for new elevators, escalators, moving walks, and other conveyances across commercial, institutional, and residential construction projects. Vendors will also perform routine inspections of installed, in-service elevators, escalators, moving walks, or other conveyances, in accordance with the Colorado Elevator and Escalator Certification Act (Title 9, Article 5.5).
Scope of work includes general safety inspections of existing commercial elevators and lifts twice per year, and internal and external safety inspections of commercial escalators once per year. Vendors are required to notify owners, contractors (when applicable), and the County of any deficiencies found during inspections and conduct follow-up inspections to confirm all deficiencies are corrected. Immediate termination of elevator or escalator operation is required upon discovery of life safety hazards, with re-inspections provided as necessary until safe operation is restored.
