Ontario is seeking qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive voting system for the 2026 municipal election. This system must integrate hardware, internet, and paper ballot voting services, ensuring seamless interaction with the Agency’s Voters’ List management provider (Datafix). The solution should enable real-time updates to the voters' list and accurate calculation of final results, encompassing both internet and in-person ballots.
The proposed system must include internet voting software accessible for approximately ten consecutive days, designed to display full ballots across all screen sizes and remain compatible with various operating systems and web browsers on computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Additionally, vendors must supply voting equipment for paper ballots, including vote tabulation devices (such as optical scanners), hardware, accessible audio voting and ballot marking devices, and associated services for in-person voting at any election location. It is essential that the solution consolidates results from all voting methods for efficient release at Election Headquarters once polls close. The contract for this project will be for a one-year period.
