EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at West Haven VA Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration anticipates soliciting proposals and awarding a task order for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades Construction at the West Haven VA Medical Center. This project seeks to enhance the facility's fiber optic network, providing upgraded and redundant fiber runs throughout all telecommunications rooms, as well as installing data drops and new electrical outlets. Additional scope includes increased power and electrical distribution, HVAC upgrades, physical security assessment and enhancements, and hazardous material abatement across various buildings within the campus.

The planned improvements aim to ensure robust infrastructure supporting future growth, addressing deficiencies identified in the Physical Security Design and Resiliency Manual (PSRDM) 2021 VA Standard. The scope encompasses multiple buildings and includes establishing a new data center. Any additional structures integral to patient services will be incorporated into the survey and design, guaranteeing all required connectivity is established before project completion.

This procurement is strictly reserved for Service–Disabled Veteran–Owned Small Businesses already in the PCAC VISN 1 Construction MATOC Pool, with project magnitude estimated between $20 million and $50 million. The project is expected to be completed within 730 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
