A Texas school district is seeking a vendor to provide a robust, scalable, cloud-based data lake, reporting, and visualization platform. The solution must feature an intuitive, web-based interface accessible on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, delivering a consistent user experience across devices. Interfaces must be tailored to different grade levels—early childhood (EC), grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12—to address the unique needs of each student group.
Security and student data privacy are paramount. The selected platform must implement end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and regular security audits. Full compliance with FERPA and all applicable Texas state laws regarding student data privacy and parental access is required.
The platform should support ingestion of diverse school district data through FTP, API, SQL, and manual uploads. It must enable comprehensive reporting, analytics, and visualizations, demonstrate a scalable architecture (such as a data warehouse or DaaS), and integrate seamlessly with existing SIS and ERP systems. Compatibility is required with current versions of Windows 11 64-bit Pro and Education, ChromeOS, Mac OS, iPadOS, as well as modern browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Safari.
Additionally, the solution should empower students to create and maintain dynamic digital portfolios with multimedia support—including documents, images, videos, and audio—facilitating the curation and showcasing of academic work. Real-time import and synchronization of student grades, test scores, attendance, and related data is also necessary, ensuring up-to-date insights for administrators, educators, students, and families. The contract term will be for two years.
