DESCRIPTION

Broward County’s Public Works and Environmental Services Department, Construction Management Division, is soliciting proposals for an architect-led team to develop a Design Criteria Package (DCP) for a new parking garage and associated facilities. The project site is approximately 17 acres at 1601 SE 22nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL. The project includes programming, planning, and the preparation of a DCP to support future design and construction by others. The project scope encompasses architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, civil engineering, landscaping, wayfinding, BIM, LEED, parking guidance systems, cost estimating, and security. The project is expected to include a multi-story parking garage for approximately 4,500 spaces and an approximately 30,000 square foot warehouse. The anticipated duration for completion of the DCP services is approximately 11 months.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a State of Florida Registered Architect license
Must provide qualifications and resumes for key staff including Principal-in-Charge, Project Architect, Project Manager, Interior Designer, BIM Managers, and various engineering disciplines
Must provide evidence of experience on at least three projects of similar nature, scope, and duration within the past ten years
Must provide evidence of experience on at least three projects with a building area of 30,000 sq. ft. or more and a multi-level parking garage with 2,500 parking spaces or more
Must provide a minimum of three non-Broward County Board of County Commissioners references
Must comply with Broward County’s 15% County Business Enterprise (CBE) goal participation requirement
Must comply with Broward County’s Criminal History Screening Practices Ordinance
Must comply with Broward County’s Lobbyist Registration Act
