DESCRIPTION


The government authority in White Plains, New York, seeks an independent consultant to perform a comprehensive assessment and safety inspection of project works and prepare detailed assessment reports. The consultant will conduct pre-inspection preparation, participate physically in field inspections, document findings, and prepare draft and final Comprehensive Assessment Reports.

The selected consultant will prepare and deliver a presentation of the findings during a comprehensive assessment review meeting. The assessment will include evaluations of spillway adequacy, the effects of overtopping on non-overflow structures, and the structural adequacy and stability of all structures under credible loading conditions.

The work will also address relevant hydrological data collected since the previous inspection, project performance based on monitoring-instrument data, and the quality and adequacy of maintenance, surveillance, and operational methods supporting public safety. Field inspections and data reviews will cover settlement, movement, erosion, seepage, leakage, and cracking.
