A government authority in California is seeking an experienced Construction Manager at Risk to oversee various aspects of a significant construction project. The selected construction manager will be responsible for providing recommendations on construction feasibility, addressing potential labor or material shortages, managing procurement timelines, installation processes, and overseeing construction to completion. Responsibilities include providing detailed cost estimates, evaluating alternative designs or materials, and developing preliminary budgets while considering relevant economic factors.
The construction manager will also conduct continuous in-progress reviews of design documents, commonly referred to in the industry as Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. Consultation and advice are expected concerning construction feasibility, document clarity, completeness, constructability, and the coordination of trades and materials. The provider must also monitor the availability of trades, subcontractors, and materials, and offer input on alternate options as needed. Additionally, the construction manager is tasked with preparing, monitoring, and managing the project schedule throughout preconstruction, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of the project.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 27, 2026, and all questions related to the project must be submitted by February 27, 2026.
