The Town of Hornellsville seeks a qualified consultant to provide comprehensive safety action plan services under a two-year contract. The project will focus on improving safety, accessibility, and connectivity for people of all ages and abilities traveling within, to, and from the Town, including pedestrians, bicyclists, people using mobility devices, and users of other motorized devices.
The selected provider will identify and analyze safety issues and risk factors using crash frequency, crash severity, and other relevant safety data. The work will incorporate community input and participation, including at least one community meeting, and will integrate findings and lessons from all collected information.
The resulting Action Plan will establish a prioritized set of projects, strategies, and policies to address identified safety needs. The provider will also prepare mapping and planning-level conceptual materials to document existing safety conditions, communicate recommended improvements, support project prioritization, and position the Town for future implementation opportunities.
