This RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive community branding services for up to ten newly designated Advancing Virginia Main Street communities, focusing on historic business districts. The scope includes developing brand systems to aid with organizational implementation, destination branding, event extensions, signage, marketing material design, and creating a brand toolbox.
The selected vendor will coordinate pre-visit preparations with local Main Street organizations, architects, and program administrators, gathering data on organizational goals, branding, target audiences, and community characteristics. Onsite visits will involve detailed assessments of existing brands and marketing efforts, and engaging stakeholders through interviews and workshops to capture their vision and needs.
The vendor will develop both organizational and destination brand systems, reflecting each community's mission, values, and impact, and producing visual elements and messaging strategies that distinguish each area as a desirable destination. Design prototypes will be created for wayfinding signage, banners, and marketing materials, ensuring all elements are adaptable and scalable for various applications and media.
