The State of Rhode Island is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based transit data analytics platform capable of delivering enhanced real-time transit information. The platform will serve both transit riders—through timely updates and predictions—and internal departments, supporting analytics and data-driven decision making.

The proposed solution must be an already developed, fully deployed product currently operational in real-world environments. Key platform capabilities include the generation and storage of detailed data attributes such as on-time performance, actual and scheduled headways for every GPS update, not limited to stops or timepoints. Agency staff must have access to monitoring tools, preferably automated, to oversee data feed uptime and health. The technology should also ensure accurate correlation of vehicle assignments to specific routes and trips.

Additionally, the system must provide enhanced passenger information that is accessible through native iOS and Android mobile applications, as well as other modal apps. Compatibility with various devices is essential, requiring an interface that automatically optimizes for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, and is accessible through standard web browsers.
