The State of Texas is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support its clinical laboratory operations. The LIMS will be utilized by multiple sections within the laboratory to streamline management, analysis, and reporting of laboratory data.

Key system requirements include the ability to reuse existing samples for new requests, support for configurable request templates that adhere to specific business rules, and the capability to import data files in multiple formats for tasks such as test request creation and population of data tables. The system must also allow for mass deletion and suspension of untested requests, and provide robust search, viewing, and printing functionalities for all data. Additional features should include user-defined metadata fields, avoidance of redundant data entry, configurable storage location tracking, barcode support for samples and containers, flexible data entry fields, and support for branching workflows to enforce business processes.

The solution should facilitate multi-sample data entry and enable assignment of samples to multiple workflows or tests. The contract will span two years, and the agency has identified mechanisms for vendor engagement prior to bid submission, including a pre-bid meeting and a period for submitting questions.
