The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive climate change adaptation plan service for a government authority in Ontario. Key responsibilities include conducting a community-wide climate risk assessment of core municipal services and developing a detailed adaptation plan to enhance municipal resilience to climate impacts.

The vendor will offer expertise, training, and guidance in establishing a climate change adaptation framework, working collaboratively with municipal staff and stakeholders to prepare project deliverables. A primary component involves designing and implementing a stakeholder engagement and communication strategy that involves municipal departments, Conservation Authorities, residents, property owners, local organizations, businesses, Indigenous communities, equity-deserving groups, and a range of diverse community members.

The final Climate Change Adaptation Plan must be practical, community-informed, and contain clear, actionable strategies aligned with existing Haldimand County plans, policies, operational frameworks, and priorities. The selected provider should ensure compliance with all applicable environmental standards and regulatory requirements, and develop a strategic roadmap for equitable, effective, and sustainable climate change adaptation solutions with broad stakeholder engagement.
