DESCRIPTION


The agency is seeking a vendor to provide claims administrator services for participating members and all lines of coverage. The selected provider will maintain a claim file for each reported claim and preserve records in accordance with applicable state statutes and regulations. Records must be made available to the agency upon request, and monthly or quarterly claims reports must be provided to Fund members when requested.

The provider will establish claim reserves and continuously review and update them to reflect changes. It will also provide complete accounting for the claims administration program, which will remain subject to review by the agency. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the collection of claims against third parties for damage to participating members’ property and making recommendations regarding salvage matters.

All sizeable and unusual claims must be reviewed by the provider’s internal legal staff at no additional cost to the agency, with the results of each review provided to the agency.
