The State of Montana is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive charge management and fleet operations software to enhance the efficiency of its electric bus fleet. The software solution must enable effective oversight of vehicle charging, help monitor fleet performance, and support optimal energy usage across all electric bus operations.
Key capabilities required include real-time visibility into charger availability, vehicle state-of-charge, route readiness, and overall operational efficiency. The system should support both sequential and simultaneous charging, programmable charging strategies, and the ability to delay charging to off-peak hours. It must dynamically schedule charging to ensure all vehicles reach full charge by their designated pullout times, with consideration for actual plug-in times.
Additional functions include automated and site-integrated load management, utility rate optimization, and prioritization of charging based on parking layouts and vehicle requirements. The solution must also offer remote control features for starting, stopping, and restarting charging sessions. Integration with dispatch and scheduling systems is expected.
The contract for this software will be for a three-year term. Questions regarding the requirements must be submitted by November 5, 2025.
