DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Saint Paul, Minnesota is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive CCTV network support services. The city's current CCTV network consists of equipment of varying ages, with inconsistent connectivity and limited strategic coordination, partly due to incremental network growth over time. Ongoing infrastructure projects such as street reconstruction and utility works frequently disrupt camera operations, requiring removal and reinstallation, and there is no dedicated vendor currently managing these processes.
The selected vendor will be responsible for stabilizing and maintaining the existing CCTV network, effectively managing construction-related disruptions, and systematically replacing aging equipment. The vendor will also help with the strategic expansion of camera coverage to new locations and provide a roadmap for future network growth. Two solutions are under consideration: continuing with the traditional on-premise system where cameras connect to city-managed servers, or transitioning to a fully cloud-managed platform featuring native AI-powered video analytics, centralized management, and storage. Coordination with the City’s technology department is expected for both models.
A pre-proposal conference will be held on June 16, 2026, and all questions must be submitted by June 19, 2026.
