DESCRIPTION
A vendor is sought to provide a comprehensive, statewide platform that integrates career exploration, academic planning, and workforce development functionalities. The system is intended to serve as the primary workforce pipeline tool for state citizens, supporting individuals from early childhood (Pre-K) through postsecondary education, career entry, re-entry, and retirement. Key use cases include K–12 career exploration and planning, postsecondary education planning, adult job seeking and workforce development, as well as employer engagement and the facilitation of work-based learning opportunities.
The platform should offer robust data integration across education and workforce systems, support Learning and Employment Records (LERs), and enable digital, verifiable credentials accessible to individuals across their lifetime. Essential core capabilities include interactive career exploration tools, detailed career profiles (covering job descriptions, required skills, education and training pathways, salary data, and job outlook), career cluster and pathway exploration, labor market information integration, and industry/occupation search tools. Preferred enhancements include interactive multimedia, immersive 360° or virtual career experiences, videos, virtual workplace tours, and the ability for users to view high-demand occupations based on their geographic proximity. The contract period is set for one year.
