DESCRIPTION


The District of Columbia seeks a franchisee to provide bus shelter franchise services, including the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, operation, and eventual dismantling of bus shelters. In exchange, the franchisee will receive the exclusive right to sell and manage commercial advertising on certain bus shelters.

The franchisee will be required to provide a minimum number of bus shelters with advertising and without advertising. After execution of the franchise agreement, the Mayor or designee and the franchisee will enter into an agreement identifying the locations and installation sequence for the remaining bus shelters to be installed or relocated under the franchise agreement.

The franchisee must ensure consistent quality in bus shelter design and deliver uniform installation, construction, and maintenance services throughout the District.
