SUMMARY

Ontario seeks a provider for high-speed broadband internet with unlimited data and robust technical support for secondary schools and other sites.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have a minimum of three years of experience providing broadband internet services of similar scope and complexity
Must demonstrate experience supporting public sector, education, municipal, or enterprise customers operating multiple locations
Must provide a service level agreement that includes service credit provisions
Must provide clearly defined escalation procedures
Must provide 24x7 technical support for service-affecting incidents
Must not be a U.S. business with fewer than 250 full-time employees in Canada
Must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence
Must maintain automobile insurance of at least $2,000,000
Must provide WSIB coverage for all employees employed under the contract

DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Ontario is seeking a vendor to supply, install, and provide ongoing support for broadband internet connectivity services across multiple locations. The service must deliver unlimited data usage without bandwidth caps, usage restrictions, or traffic throttling.

A minimum bandwidth of 1 Gbps must be provided to all Secondary School locations as outlined in the RFP, unless alternative arrangements are approved. The vendor is required to offer 24x7 technical support for any service-affecting incidents.

Additionally, the service should fully support agency-managed cybersecurity controls, integrating seamlessly without interfering with the authority's existing security architecture, such as DNS filtering, VPN technologies, cloud-based security services, and other Board-managed controls. All vendor inquiries regarding this RFP must be submitted by June 18, 2026.
