A Village in Illinois is seeking a qualified firm to develop and implement a comprehensive branding and identity plan over a one-year period. The scope of work includes the creation of new logos, a tagline, customized graphics, a cohesive color palette, and the development of both a master brand and related sub-brands. The selected firm will facilitate branding workshops and meetings with Village Board members, staff, key stakeholders, and will actively engage the community through a variety of outreach activities.
Deliverables include a draft branding plan, a unified style framework for all logos, a compelling brand story and messaging, and a style guide for consistent application across Village initiatives. Additional tasks involve concept and design work for staff apparel, giveaway items for public events, and visual designs for entryway signs, banners, street signage, and wayfinding elements. The firm will also curate a comprehensive photo library of the Village and provide licensing guidelines to ensure proper use of brand assets.
Key objectives are to establish a unique sense of place through branding elements used on signage, lighting, streetscapes, and public furnishings; to emphasize the Village’s community identity by incorporating historical, cultural, and environmental assets such as the local zoo, Salt Creek, parks, and recreational destinations; and to create welcoming arrival points through improved aesthetics at major entryways and downtown areas. The contract will be for a one-year term.
