DESCRIPTION

Stafford County Government and Stafford County Public Schools are issuing a joint solicitation for financial auditing services for the County, the Schools, the Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board, and the Stafford County Economic Development Authority. The scope includes auditing financial statements, internal controls, and compliance, as well as assisting with the preparation of Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports. The initial contract term is two years, with four optional one-year renewal periods.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be a firm of licensed Certified Public Accountants
Must have experience performing financial audits for local governments
Must be able to provide advice and guidance on GASB pronouncements within 36 hours
Must maintain working papers for a minimum of five years
Must provide insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Automobile Liability, and Comprehensive General Liability
