Ireland is seeking a qualified vendor to provide archival records reviewer services for a significant transfer of departmental records. The appointed vendor will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and classifying over 6,000 departmental files that are over 30 years old, in preparation for their transfer and possible reclassification in 2026. This process includes reading each file, appropriately classifying its contents, and physically preparing the records for transfer.

The files in question cover a broad range of topics and are reviewed on an annual basis. The selected vendor will also be tasked with reassessing a selection of previously restricted files, evaluating them for potential reclassification and public release. In addition, the scope of work requires the vendor to handle queries from the national archives regarding transferred files throughout the year, and to manage the physical handling of old paper records as part of the archival preparation process.
