Architectural and Engineering Design Services for New Educational Facility

A government authority in El Paso, Texas is seeking architectural and engineering design services for the design, bidding, and construction phases of a new educational facility. The project involves a state-of-the-art school of approximately 102,720 square feet with capacity for 702 students, intended to enhance student achievement, operational efficiency, safety and security, accessibility, equity, and overall educational quality.

The planned facility will include approximately 30 modern classrooms for grades PK–5, a science lab, six collaboration areas, administration space, outdoor learning and recreation areas, and building support services. Additional components include custodial space, food and nutrition services, upgraded infrastructure, advanced technology capabilities, and spaces designed to support innovative teaching and learning practices.

Required program elements include core academic spaces such as standard classrooms with integrated technology infrastructure, science laboratories with appropriate ventilation and safety provisions, and computer laboratories with enhanced electrical and data capacity. Administrative and support areas include a main office suite, counseling offices, and a health clinic. Common areas and student services include a media center or library, a cafeteria with full-service kitchen, and a gymnasium with retractable bleacher seating and athletic storage.
