DESCRIPTION
The selected vendor will provide comprehensive ambulance billing and collection services. Responsibilities include downloading all billable transport and treatment records from the electronic care report system, preparing and submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers, and self-pay patients, and reviewing downloaded data for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance before initiating the billing process.
The vendor must also communicate any anticipated changes to rates, reporting requirements, or applicable laws related to ambulance billing and reporting. In addition, the firm will manage all collections and payment processing, including tracking patient payment plans, and depositing collections to the corresponding fire and ambulance companies' bank accounts. The contract period is set for three years, with all inquiries due by June 15, 2026.
