This RFP seeks a vendor to provide ambulance and first responder fee billing services, including timely processing and submission of all EMS transport claims to Medicare, Medi-Cal, private insurance, and patients. The selected vendor will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, handling follow-up for denials and unpaid claims, patient invoicing, statements, and offering customer service support.

Additional duties include processing refund requests and credit balances, monitoring payer regulations with prompt implementation of updates, and maintaining secure systems for protected health information (PHI). The vendor will also support audits and data reviews, ensure Payment Card Industry (PCI) data compliance for credit card and electronic transactions, fulfill Systems and Organization Controls reporting requirements for software client tools, and provide cybersecurity insurance.
