DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Costa Mesa, California is seeking a vendor to provide airport IT systems design services. The selected firm will support the planning, design, integration, security, testing, commissioning, and overall implementation of airport IT systems in alignment with county and airport standards, project schedules, and budget requirements.

Scope of work includes researching and collecting project data through review of record drawings and documents, site visits, and coordination with airport staff and project stakeholders. The consultant will be expected to review IT network system diagrams and related technical information; perform project planning, phasing, and code and standards compliance reviews; and provide recommendations to support airport operational and technical requirements.

The work also includes development of data center infrastructure such as cooling, electrical systems, physical and logical access, rack layout optimization, and advanced network routing. In addition, the consultant will design resilient, high-performance communications networks including LANs, WANs, and intranets, while addressing routing and switching, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and network capacity and performance planning.

The selected firm may also provide construction administration, testing, acceptance, training, commissioning, and closeout services, including as-built plans, record documents, and material and product lists. Questions are due no later than July 21, 2026.
