DESCRIPTION

The issuing authority is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive wayfinding system. The work includes discovery and assessment of existing city wayfinding signs and adjacent signage operated by universities, institutions, transit services, business improvement districts, and other organizations. The assessment will also review established sign placements and routes.

The selected vendor will develop a wayfinding system concept, including a destination hierarchy and eligibility criteria, as well as a framework for signage placement, sizing, quantity, and space constraints for station names, route identification, and directional identifiers. Detailed design deliverables will include sign type drawings, sign location plans, and a sign message schedule.

Implementation and maintenance documentation must include a GIS-compatible asset inventory in a city-approved format. The inventory is expected to identify each sign's ID, sign type, location, mounting type, key attributes, and maintenance or update requirements. The contract period will be one year, and questions must be submitted by October 23, 2026.
